The Altons - "Your Light"

The Altons - "Your Light"

Los Angeles neo-soul outfit The Altons will mesmerize you with their angelic vocal interplay. The crux of their sound rests on the relationship between Adriana Flores and Brian Ponce, which is mesmeric, tantalizing, and the defining feature of their latest single, “Your Light.” From the emotive opening lines, where Flores and Ponce harmonically sing “said you’d be there through it all, that you’d catch me when I fall. Now there's nothing but an empty home. I sit and sing, so l, I don't feel alone,” a mood of heartache and forlornness permeates through their voices. It’s especially cogent in the choruses, where their voices demarcate and segue into the dreamy, call-and-response plea of “I need, I need your loving.”

“Your Light” appears on the band’s forthcoming album, Heartache in Room 14, which is set for release on February 14th via Daptone Records. You can pre-order the album on Bandcamp. Keep up with The Altons by following them on Instagram.
