Spud Cannon - “Juno”
Everybody’s favorite potato-loving band, Spud Cannon, is back with their first new music since their excellent 2018 album, Squeeze. The young and spunky rockers demonstrated their ability to write fun, feel-good tunes on that record, and they’re expanding on their tried and true formula with their new single, “Juno.”
There’s an infectious energy that runs through “Juno,” and it flows from many sources. Whether it’s Meg Matthews’ engaging vocals, Jackson Lewis’ raucous guitar playing, or the air-tight rhythm section, the band fires on all cylinders on this upbeat and danceable track, giving listeners a real lively jolt at every turn. If you’ve seen the band live before, you know their gigs are off the walls (in a VERY good way), and that frenetic experience translates well on “Juno.” So, close your eyes, pop in your earbuds, turn “Juno” up loud, and imagine these Spuds rocking out on the rooftop of Our Wicked Lady.
“Spud” is the lead single from Spud Cannon’s third full-length, Good Kids Make Bad Apples, which is out on June 25th via Good Eye Records. You can pre-order a copy on limited edition Bad Apple Red vinyl via Bandcamp. You can also stream “Juno” on your platform of choice! Keep up with the band by following them on Instagram and liking them on Facebook.
