New Myths - "Bad Connection"

New Myths - "Bad Connection"

“Bad Connection” has been a staple in New Myths’ live repertoire for the last couple of years, and it’s a certified ripper that’s hard to forget.  Maybe that’s why my fiancé Pooja and I were both immediately able to sing along when the band premiered the song last Friday. It’s undeniably catchy and as such, seeped into our memory. The song features several ear-worm worthy moments, including some hauntingly harmonious “ohs” and “ahs,” the head-turning backing refrain of “I get it,” and a super slick guitar lick that peeks through after each line of the chorus. Their confident power trio dynamic is on full display on “Bad Connection”: Brit Boras delivers some big, powerful guitars with a dark, compelling vocal performance, Marina Ross kicks the rhythm into full gear with a thumping bass line, and the ever-reliable Rosie Slater gives the song extra life with her lively and energetic work behind the kit.

“Bad Connection” is the first single from the band’s soon to be released EP, All The Shiny Things. You can purchase the song via Bandcamp.
