HNRY FLWR - “Waiting Room”

HNRY FLWR - “Waiting Room”

HNRY FLWR has both charmed and surprised his fans over the last few years.  Ever since the release of his 2017 debut EP “Flowerama,” he’s wooed New York City crowds with his engaging and eclectic live performances, which invite spectators to join him in “The Infinite Void.” It’s this cryptic persona and messaging that makes him an intriguing figure in the current Brooklyn music landscape, as he’s essentially retired “Flowerama” songs from his live repertoire, opting instead for newer tunes. Last week, he finally shared his first new music in three years, a powerful new single called “Waiting Room.”

Though FLWR explains that the lyrics were literally written while in the waiting room of a pediatric cancer center in NYC, the song takes on a much larger meaning throughout, exploring the supernatural, love, and flirting with the concept of life after death through an absolutely haunting vocal delivery. These lyrical themes are set against a sonic backdrop that nicely accentuates his trademark brand of dark psychedelic-pop. Listen, enjoy, and keep your fingers crossed that this is only the first taste of new music from this ever-exciting artist.

See you in the “Infinite Void.”
