Forever Honey - "Christian"

Forever Honey - "Christian"

“Christian,” the first single from Forever Honey, comes on the heels of some big changes for the Brooklyn four-piece. The band, formerly known as Queue, started the new decade with a clean slate - ditching their old name for a new identity and purpose. On the heels of this large scale reinvention, the group has delivered their most infectious song to date in “Christian.”

The majority of songs that the band released as Queue could best be described as ethereal and soft with a floaty, dream-like vibe. However, their penchant for exploring a more uptempo, pop-oriented sound seeped through on tracks like “Frontier.” The band pushes this into overdrive on “Christian,” littering the song with jangle-fueled guitar hooks and rich harmonies. The end result sounds fresh and vibrant with saccharine melodies that shine and a tension that slowly builds up through its striking and bold lyrics.

Forever Honey’s debut EP, Premortem High, is scheduled for release on April 24th. They’re playing at Arlene’s Grocery on March 15th for the New Colossus Festival on and at Mercury Lounge on April 5th.
