Morningside Lane - "Under The Diamonds"

Morningside Lane - "Under The Diamonds"

New Jersey’s Morningside Lane has added a little bit of a dance-pop sheen to their sound over the course of the last year, and it really comes to a head on their latest single, “Under The Diamonds.”

Following the lead set by their 2021 releases “Temperamental,” “Good Men” and “Like A Season,” “Under The Diamonds,” possesses some serious grooves, further exemplifying a seismic shift in tone when compared to the songs heard on their 2020 full length, These Are Our Years. While their debut tended more towards an aching, Springsteen-esque brand of rock and roll, the quartet is branching out genre-wise, experimenting with more electronics, and channeling their inner Brandon Flowers. Synthesizers play more of a starring role now and the band seems more at ease, punctuating a desire to let loose and allow their rhythms to take control on the strength of a crystalline bassline and flowing beats. “Under The Diamonds” has lyrical substance, too, as frontman Marc Del Giudice’s words describe an almost overwhelming dance floor attraction. Appropriately enough, the track definitely has the potential to immediately pack any dance floor. So, turn it up and let it rip this summer.

Today, the band is sharing a video for “Under The Diamonds,” which we’re excited to premiere. Directed by videographer Kris Khunachak, the video captures the four-piece performing against a series of maroon, white, and yellow backgrounds. It definitely has a bit of a cool vintage feel to it.

The song is also available to stream on all platforms. Keep up with Morningside Lane by liking them on Facebook and following them on Instagram.
