Little Sun - "Blinkin"

Little Sun - "Blinkin"

Little Sun is one of the newest bands on the Brooklyn music scene, releasing their first-ever single, “Alright,” earlier this month. We thought it was much more than just alright. In fact, we loved it and featured it on the January 9th edition of Local Fidelity. And though the band may be just getting started, they’re wasting no time getting their music out there, as today, we’re premiering their second-ever single, “Blinkin.”

“Blinkin” comes from a place of growth, as it represents part of frontman Ryan Lloyd’s journey towards better understanding himself. The song’s lyrics challenge the fear that comes with risk-taking, opting to face these obstacles head-on despite the potential consequences. Sonically, the song follows a similar path that mirrors this kind of self-reflection. The intimate and personal track kicks off with stripped-down guitars that seamlessly transition into the impassioned verses, which are rounded out by a light, but lively rhythm section. It’s a nice mid-tempo stomper.

“Blinkin” will appear on the band’s debut full-length, Rainbow Body, which is set for release on February 5th. Check out Little Sun on Bandcamp or Soundcloud. Keep up with them by following them on Instagram.
