Episode 98 of Look At My Records! previews the upcoming Double Parked Festival! The inaugural edition of the festival, which was organized by two Jersey City businesses, Pet Shop and The Archer, is happening on Saturday, October 12th at the intersection of Jersey Ave and Newark Ave. in downtown Jersey City.
To get the scoop, Tom chatted with festival organizer and Pet Shop co-owner, Eric Speck. Tune in as they talk about the festival, including all the great bands playing, what you can expect, and all the planning that went into it! If you’re not familiar with some of the bands on the bill, then you’ll want to listen in, as we play some great tracks from all eight artists!
Plus, some Real Estate and The Modern Lovers, selected by Eric, to wrap up the program.
The Double Parked Fest kicks off promptly at noon on October 12th. Attendees will be treated to performances from Ex Hex, Crazy & The Brains, Ice Balloons, Barrie, Baby Shakes, Glazer, The Lo-Fi’s, and Sean Kiely. Portions of the program will also be broadcast live on the Todd-O-Phonic Todd program on WFMU. Todd will also be DJing throughout the day, along with Sound And Color. ADMISSION IS FREE!
